"Which is more descriptive a text that describes and event, or a photograph?"
Answer: I think they are both as descriptive in their own way. A photograph gives to the visual description of an event and sometimes can make you have a certain feeling about the event. A photograph also means something different to everyone so the decription was person gets from it may be different than someone elses. While a text decription is the same decrition that everyone would have. It also gives details to an event that a photograph couldn't give.
